Our amazing place in Ruidoso, New Mexico
Sierra Blanca (12,300') from the deck (7,040')
Welcome to our home away from home. We ‘discovered’
Ruidoso in 2005 on our way home from our grandson’s
first birthday party in Alameda, California. My brother-in-
law has been coming here for decades and thanks to
him, we paid a visit. We had no reservations and no
plans, but we met some of the nicest people and before
we knew it, things had fallen into place and we were the
owners of 303 McBride. Although we had a great realtor,
Don Lincoln (also a McBride neighbor), the house pretty
much sold itself. All Don had to do was keep telling us
that when the clouds went away we would have a great
view of Sierra Blanca. So we bought it, mountain unseen,
but just in case, we knew where Don lived.
From the street
Along with the view came a great house with plenty of room and
separation of spaces so that it would accommodate large group,s with
diverse interests, comfortably. So it had all we wanted in a get-away for us
and as a house that others could enjoy.

The house is 3100 square feet and sits on .625 acres at 7040 feet above
sea level according to my brother-in-law, the gadget guru. He also told me
the latitude and longitude, but I didn’t write it down, just too much pin
point information for me to handle.
Redwood deck and spa
My wife and I spend as much time as possible in Ruidoso. As a result
we have furnished the house with things that we enjoy and with items
of quality. This is really a wonderful home and I hope you will have the
opportunity to spend some time enjoying an Amazing Place.

Oh, about the name. The management folks at Cool Ruidoso wanted to
get the house listed but it needed a name! We kept thinking of ‘Alpine
this’ and ‘Alpine that’ and ‘Casa this’ and ‘Casa that.’ Then one morning
my wife said, “This is really an amazing place.” The rest, as they say, is
history.
